Moon Ramone’s practice explores human consciousness through intuitive, abstract painting. Working through a phenomenological lens, Ramone paints from lived emotional and psychological states, allowing thinking and feeling to merge within the creative process. Painting functions as both a method of inquiry and a pathway toward expanded awareness.

Each work emerges through a practice-led process of introspective painting, in which Ramone intentionally engages with shifting emotional states. By relinquishing control and privileging intuition, the process often moves beyond habitual ego boundaries, opening experiences of connection, presence, and unity. In this way, painting becomes a meditative and transformative act rather than a purely visual outcome.

Grounded in transpersonal perspectives, Ramone’s work recognises creativity as a means of accessing dimensions of the self that extend beyond personal identity. Through non-verbal expression, the practice explores the relationship between the inner self and the “higher self,” translating internal states of consciousness into material form.

At its core, this practice investigates the intrinsic relationship between emotional experience, the act of painting, and the affective nature of abstract art. Ramone is particularly interested in how painting operates simultaneously as material object and lived experience, holding the potential to support reflection, connection, and well-being for both artist and viewer.
